An Article in the Newspaper "Business news" about "FASA", JSC

Industry is going to prepare for the end of the crisis. Everyone will need to renew.

"FASA", JSC, a company producing packaging machines for food industry sold butter packaging equipment for Iraq, ended up negotiations with USA and received an order from Egypt. Company assures that this is connected not only with the recovery of the market but also with the new marketing strategy it took.

According to Audrius Budraitis companie`s director new marketing strategy means much more than only intense communication at the exhibitions. It encorporates as well communication on special websites, guests visits in the company etc.

"We see our survival as linked to the new marketing strategy" - emphasises director. And after a while addsthat in the market now we can see expectations for a breakthrough - equipment producers attain so much calls and questions every as never before. But there are only few real buyers. According to Audrius Budraitis at tha time only strong companies invest. The purpose of investments is to able after the crisis to dictate new packaging forms and sizes. Smaller companies are still waiting. They want to be sure that the worst period is away but despite of that are preparing for investments. But for example in Poland where companies avoided bigger decline new equipment is not ordered. "From polish we have a lot of orders to renew or change equipment. But they do not order new one. Maybe that is why its market is balanced" - "FASA" director finds similarities between production and the state.

"FASA" wants to renew itself. If it receives EU`s support with the help of scientists and designers will try to create 2-3 new mechanisms. These machines, says A. Budraitis, will be in great demand. Unfortunately to make true this plan is too expensive, especially when money turnover decreased. "But we reached very good results by increasing labour productivity, twice cut down governing expenses" - about measers that helped to balance the budget tells director A. Budraitis.

Hard times forced to revise export directions as well: in 2008 half of its production company exported to Russia, the second half travelled to Ukraine, Belarus, Transcaucasia. This year export to Russia decreasedand makes 20 % of total export. But we found new customers in Africa, Near East, USA, EU countries.

Simonas Zunda director of public institution "Consensus Europae" that offers consulting services how to receive EU as well as national support explains that "FASA" wants to expand its export. The company presented for Lithuanian business development agency application accoring to "New opportunities" program. If "FASA" gets financial support it will participate in more than 10 exhibitions.

The strongest part of the company - it designs and produces by itself not only gets together components taken from abroad.
